intro-6-max-stats - more numbers to critique

new stats bottom of thread.

i've been playing a lot of full ring the last year, but now i want to mix in some 6-max. I'm going to read all the digest posts and probably the last couple of hundred forum threads.
I had a quick splash around 9-tabling micro-stakes just to see how it felt (was trying a change of site at the same time).
How do these stats look? it's nittier than the stats suggest cos I was completing from the sb in limped pots quite a bit.

any comments/suggestions?
I'm planning to kick off on a site where i'll only play 6-max, and with a separate 6-max roll. I'll start at $25nl rolled deep for 50nl and move as I feel comfortable (hopefully quickly) through 50nl and up, up, up

Doesnt mention number of hands so some of the later stats are hard to judge. Personally those stats look a fair bit like mine but I have lower VPIP, maybe because I just fold crap in the SB regardless of pot odds.

I would expect your steal % to be higher (mines 31% with 15.5 PFR) which suggests maybe you're raising more hands in earlier positions and less hands in later positions, but again that could be sample size.

I don't know what the sample size is but your wwsf is a pretty serious concern. Fold to more 3 bets as well. You could likely cbet more as well depending how these games play.

1. either raise more or limp less.
2. W$WSF is WAY WAY WAY too low and this probably has to do with limping to see too many flops then just c/f'ing.
3. cbet more
4. you're calling too many 3bets, and i bet people aren't 3betting that light at micros
5. your steal % should probably be higher than 26%. raise more in CO and OTB and take advantage of playing pots in position

i'm finding 6-max fascinating
more different to full ring than i remembered - so much more hand involvement, hell, i'm in position to steal/re-steal in around half the hands i play. I have realised that i can't multi-table heavily either, not if i want to play a game that may have a chance outside of micro. Oh well, 8-tabling is also novel, so much time to think and play!!!

I'm pretty sure the W$WSF horror stat is due to the large number of limped pots going on in micro 6-max, but I'll definitely keep an eye on it. I've also increased my steal to around 35% during the latest session. C-bet is almost leak-high now rather than leak-low (70%)

I've done my time at $5nl and $10nl I think. $25nl tomorrow, and $50nl if i feel comfortable sometime next week. (stake progression so much easier if you start way below your roll ;))

just start iso raising tons in position in those limped pots. Look for the weak/tighties that are limp/calling and folding 80% of flops and just pound on them over and over.

play no more than 6 tables (preferably only 4), keep your PFR above 20, and get that wwsf up

PFR of 20 seems a world away from nit 15-11 at Full Ring - what do you suggest opening UTG? I'm thinking KQ+/AJs+/44+/1-2 pre-determined SCs, from mp and cutoff but uncertain about how tight UTG if I'm aiming 20% pfr. I'm stealing 33% now and 6% 3-bet but it is feeling pretty loose.

I like that i'm playing sh as a learning roll at super-comfortable stakes.

A way to get your pfr up is always look who is in the blinds before you act. When you have fish in the blinds you want to be opening a wider range than normal because they are liable to play too many hands oop. This is assuming that table conditions behind you won't hinder this play.

I can barely keep up with 6 tables at NL100, sometimes I run out of time to think and end up doing a "default" action when if I had time to think I'd sometimes do something different

i had been back grinding Full Ring a while and studying a lot on 6-max and post-flop play vs ranges.
So I fired up a session of 6-max, 5-tabling and with the various advice fresh in my mind. Then another session. Quite a few hours later...

I wouldn't play quite that loose preflop until your more comfortable with 6max but those look pretty good overall. Only thing I could see changing is your turn aggression. You may be cbetting too much then giving up. Maybe cbet a tiny bit less and bet the turn a tiny bit more.
