Facing a weird overbet after making a mistake

This is villains first lap.

I think betting the turn is probably a better idea, and I realize I probably made a mistake here by not betting, but should I be bet calling or bet folding?

Then his overbet just boggles my mind. Like what is his range here? I'm curious to know what everyone thinks.

ez, he has 6x and doesn't want you to suck out on him with two hearts

im thinking he just caught the jack and didnt want u to catch with a flush draw or high card on river, but idk thats a tough descision. ya u could have bet on turn but he might have raised u all in anyways. idk if i would call that or not id prob have to fold if u didnt invest a lot in the pot anyways

I would call and make a note. If he's shoving garbage note that if you check the turn he goes crazy. If he has you beat you know you can fold big hands when he does this. No way I'm folding the first time someone does this to me.

I fold, but I'm a sissy. Looks like he's protecting trips from a flush draw.

33 is such a small part of PF calling range. With the exception of maybe 67s/A6s, the PF calling range would have to be really loose to include 6x, J6 or 36.

This could very easily be a regular flush draw or paired flush draw semi-bluff (J10s, AJs, etc).

If you lose here (and it's not 33/67s/A6s), make a note and adjust your game to exploit an abnormally WIDE PF calling range.

Calling the 4x pre flop bet I took him off 6x, I put him on J A because he for sure does not have JJ or he would have bet a lower amount. He does not want this Hand to be ruined my a flush by you on the river.

However... I just lost a big hand the other day with 4 people betting 5 total raises pre flop and I had trips on flop and losing it to a inside straight on the river from a guy who chased this with a 3 6 putting in more then 75x blind... So he might have a 6 j/k.

By his bet, it is obviously a Jx.

He has AJs. I'm calling here.
