Just read this article:

I am a sit'n'goer who is going to be primarily focusing on NL FR this summer, and just wanted to make sure I understood this whole Rakeback thing.
Are the bonuses offered at the various levels (which can be bought with FPP) are what are considered to be the rakeback? (ie is the $50 bonus offered at the Silverstar level considered to be the rakeback?)

Yep. The FPP you earn playing which is used to buy the bonus is the "rakeback" in stars.

Its considered by the general poker community to be rakeback for pokerstars

There are other forms of "rakeback" in which you can use the fpps to acquire money. For one, there are fpp satellite tourneys available on stars. For instance, the 210 fpp satellites. 20 people start, and the last 6 get the ticket. The ticket is worth $11 and you can simply sell the $T to another individual, and it acts as rakeback. Or you can also look into concierge in the future when you are SuperNova.
