I think a lot of this was a direct result of the expected number of people and security/control costs.Quote:

"This is the price and promise of citizenship"... I really liked this line of his speech. I can understand that cynics will beat the "omg now we all getz ponies!!!"-drum, but it's just grasping at some liberal strawman at this point. I mean in his presidential inauguration speech... he basically said "we are all gonna have to work our asses off, and you and your family are going to have to make sacrifices to make our country great again".
Is he just trying to sound tough, but he's going to actually give us free everything eventually??... wow... that's some cereal FPS if that's the case.

I was there! 100 yards from the capitol. There were people all the way from the capitol to behind the lincoln memorial. Does anyone know what the estimate of the number of people there was?
What impacted me the most was how much the black community has embraced Obama, who I don't think really identified with that part of his life until he went into politics. I enjoyed the speech even though I'm not an Obama supporter, I think he's at least not selfish in his claim to power.
The CNN report about how Chief Justice Roberts "mangled" a few lines in the oath but Obama was able to "get through it okay" was complete bullshit, fwiw. Obama interrupted Roberts and then forgot what he was supposed to say once and Roberts had to repeat it.
Also, Biden's middle name is Robinette loll
Interesting piece of trivia: Barack Obama is not the 44th president of the U.S. Thanks to Mike&Mike in the morning for this little tid-bit.
The first time Roberts said the line it was different than the second time Roberts said the line. He moved the word "execute".Quote:

I thought he is the 44th POTUS but the 43rd person to hold the office because of Grover Cleveland's non-consecutive terms.Quote:

He hasn't wasted too much time, Changing America. He issued a bunch of Executive orders on Wed.
