Putting people on ranges

Ok so i've been playing poker for a while and have been a fish, very laggy, playing random hands and throwing around random bluffs, random 3 bets(which would always get 4 bet).for a while and i'm pretty tired of losing and lately been getting really serious, studying videos, forums, many books...etc. I've been trying to play tight aggressive poker according to Sauce123's 6max sng guide. Fantastic guide btw for real beginners for a winning style. Anyways, I always hear on the videos...ahead of their range, behind their range, my range, range, range range. I mean i can comprehend the general idea...full ring and a tag raises utg, probably any pair, aq+, ajs maybe, maybe kqs. the thing i'm having a hard time is putting loose players on ranges that involve middle cards, maybe broadway cards, small pairs. I always seem to put them on the wrong general set of hands because i have to act so fast online and don't have any time to think through the whole thought process. I get confused also when the video makers, not just this site, say i'm probably ahead of his range here. you guys make the situations where questionable calls/thin value bets are appropriate seem very easy. If anyone could help me with this I would pay you a million play chips.

and i have read through bigspenda's new years resolution leak #1 thing but everyone is seeming to give all these random/unrelated opinions and would really appreciate someone who has had success to just spell it out for me.

That thread has turned out pretty bad so far, but there is more to this forum than what's on the first page.

For what it's worth, there is no one-size fits all solution to the problem you're having. It's something that you'll have to work on yourself and find out what works for you while you improve little by little.

I have not myself developed a good hand reading set of skills yet but I am studying and improving . Spoon is right in that table time does not improve this without study time. I am yet good enough at it to be comfortable, but I do feel I am improving in small increments after studying.

My confidence level in my reads is slowly improving also, last night I actually played a short session after studying (and getting beat up on in the freeroll) and made two very good reads that made me money. I am going to continue to study and work on improving this to more good reads per session, which can only increase my winrate...

Im actually going through the process of trying to crack this range issue,quite recently there has been some encouraging and very inspiring post on the subject.In fact , daily.

The only way to crack it is to get yor hands dirty.

I see some replies say check this forum, well , thats absolutely correct.

Its an area where you have to build your skills.Read posts and try to apply.

Dont give up at first attempt, if you give up, thats where your skills will stop developing.

One good way to work on putting players on a range is to, if you have PT, load up a few hands in the hand replayer that you weren't involved in but went to showdown and had a good amount of action, and on each street, try to put each player on a range, and then see how you did.

I need to do this myself, but I did it the first day for the first time and I spent about 40 minutes analyzing two hand in total. I really tried to think about each player's actions and what those actions said about their hands. It's a great way to practice, and the deeper you think about it, the more you'll get out of it.

If you don't have PT, you can always just check out random hands on here or any poker forum, and just read through the text and do the same thing.
