As played I'd just put him AI on the river, he will pay u off with any K and T, mebbe even two purr as well if he's a true donkey. I don't like the flop float though unless u know he gives up a lot (which i doubt if he's real loose). C-bet or c/f depending on reads.

We should be cbetting this flop for full pot - when the turn comes you can fire again for more than half pot imo, make it about 2/3rds. All in all it should make a river shove easier.

i disagree. This flop hits our opponents range pretty hard and hands he didnt hit he likely has straight combos for, So cbetting full would likely be a bad move. Im betting more like 2/3 pot on both turn and river, though check raising on the turn would still be ok.

bet turn harder, shove river. also i dont like c/c the flop here.

Well obviously my DOnklogic was way off. I wasn't to excited about the flop so I checked and called his bet. Obviously I should have bet it then shoved later....Oh well I tryin' 2 learn!

What do you guys think of 1/2 pot + 5 cents for a cbet? If we're willing to call a flop bet, we should be willing to bet our hand.

If our opponent called PF with a small pair, he's folding for 1/2 pot, if he has some kind of a straight draw or pair + draw, he's calling full pot anyway.

With so many possible outs and that fact your opp is a donk, i agree with at least a 1/2 pot +5 cbet on the flop. He should fold is he wiffs and if he gets a draw or small piece he will more than likely pay you off later.

As played, the flop call is still good because we're counting AK as overs? The weak bet means if we pair either the turn or the river we're probably still good allowing us to draw to 10 outs instead of just 4?

I know these seem like dumb questions, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around pot odds (let alone implied odds). For example, it's strange to me that a pot-size c-bet still gives good pot odds to a flush draw.

Even though the villian raises more than hp here and we are around 40% to make our hand at this point, the implied odds suggest that we will get paid off if we hit because you have to think that this pot will get bet at again on the turn by a donkish player even if it would appear to be a scare card for him.

I am pretty new to this concept too. In fact I learned it from here (this site is awesome) but that is what I gather from it. If I am wrong then let me know too.

Be careful trying to apply this logic to every scenario.

A pot-size c-bet doesn't give good pot odds to a flush draw, unless the drawer has overcards that are also outs. Implied odds can often dictate a call with a flush draw because of extra bets you can win if you hit.
