You can fold, or you can call and fold turn if he continues - if he doesn't have the A he's likely to not bet out again on the turn.

I don't like your 3bet sizing. Make it 3x, so 0.24. Flop sucks, but I call one bet and see what he does on turn.

yes, youre 3-bet size needs to be bigger. i would peel one street here and fold to a 2nd barrel.

Sounds like a lot of people like to float around here.

My question is: Should we be floating in a 3-bet pot? I love the idea of floating in a simple single raised pot.

My Definition of a Float: Calling a flop in position with a hand that may be beat, with the intention of betting the turn should your opponent check to you.

What's your definition of a float? Does it always have to be a pure bluff and have 0 value?

Also, This isn't floating a 3 bet pot since your also the 3better. He's donking your flop. I never show respect to a donker without a read.

Hey thanks for all the replys. I have to say I really learned alot from this post as simple as it is. I wasn't gauging my 3bets correctly at all now and it suddenly makes since. The purpose of the 3bet is to push him out with something like Ax and obviously the size of my bet didn't accomplish the task. FTR rocks!!!

no the purpose is not to "push him out", the purpose it to charge him a correct amount to play a dominated hand against ours.

I don't get why everyone wants their opponents to fold so much when they have a monster, stop playing so scared.

for the record, when floating you do not need to bet the turn. its more intention of betting a later street, and you dont always have to bet it. sometimes its better to check behind if you think a card really hit opp's range.

Very interesting hand here this guy could be drawing to the flush or he could have an ace if not maybe both top pair and flush draw?

I would maybe call the bet and see what he does on turn if he shoot a pot bet on turn get out your dominated by both the Aces and the nut flush draw more then likely even though it is $2NL some of them do know how to play and this guy may be that one in 10.
