Some tricky hands

No reads. I think I should have bet SOMETHING on this flop. In hindsight, the turn bet was terrible and the river bet isn't getting called by that many worse hands (Maybe AQ/KQ?)

On this one, I thought about the raise b4 I did it and liked it, then I flopped a strong hand and faced the check-minraise of death. Are the CR'ing sets? More likely to have Asx?

only seeing one hand, first hand is fine, leading the flop is also acceptable.

Looks good assuming your plan was to c/r the flop and not be afraid to get it all in if he was going to want to get it all in.

Leading the flop and going for 3 streets of value assuming the board doesn't get ugly is good too.

I probably choose the latter more of the time since he'll likely chase a lot of flush draws or be too afraid to bet an overpair.

I'm just more convinced he sees a spade or an overpair in his hand or whatever and goes apeshit. Maybe giving villains here too less credit?

I don't think so, I was just going to say the same thing.

What he means, Illfavor, is he doesn't think you're going to be doing this with anything but nut hands. And if a good player notices this, it's going to be very easy for him to figure out what you have in certain spots.

I don't worry about balance until I start to see familiar faces though.

1 - "in hindsight turn bet was terrible". what? not betting would be terrible. also you could definitely consider donking the flop, esp in a passive game like this where it gets checked back so often, and i dont really care that much about balancing here. i think with such bad players you could probably just balance by donking non monotone flops and such so you create an aggro image in their head. they probably arent good enough to pay attention to board texture. also river is a call for sure.

2 - well played. you will be moving up in no time!

I thought the turn bet was bad not b/c I bet, but for the reasons I did it. I slightly overbet b/c I felt I lost value on the flop and didn't think that was a good reason.
