I just wanted to say thank-you to the FTR forum, it's administrators and regulars.I admit I initially came to this forum after scanning down through Fulltilt's private tourneys and seeing one that had $500 cash-added is what brought me to this site.
Playing in that tourney, I must say that I was quite impressed by some of the play of a group of the forum regulars (I could tell who was a regular easy enough from the chat on the table), especially for it being only a micro buyin (where play is usually brutally bad, and even in most private forum micro buyins it is generally on the weak side for sure).
It got me more interested in this forum,... I wanted to check out what you guys were posting and get myself more acquainted with the site. I've been super busy with work recently though and the time I do spend on the puter in regards to poker (what else is there?) has been spread around a bunch of stuff.
Okay.. now to get to where I've been heading with this post. Recently I've reverted back to playing some micro sngs, simply due to not having the time to make the committment to play mtts. I invest alot of time in researching any game I play and am a freak when it comes to books, vids., etc. I thought I'd check out some more sng strategy posts & stuff here on FTR and I was very impressed. GREAT STUFF ON HERE FOR SURE!!!
I want to thank you guys for having this site open to someone like me who can join up here and take part and be able to access a wealth of knowledge from players who've been there and who know what they're talking about (yah.. I've checked out ALOT of stuff with great claims but without stats. or personal experience to back themselves up).
Yah.. so from checking out some stuff on here I must say my game has come around some and after running fairly poorly in sngs for quite some time, I'm now pounding out an ROI+38% in micro sngs,... and tubos to boot (who woulda thought it, lol.. I used to hate turbos,.... now I'm finding them to be the shee-ite,... easy to take advantage of my opponent's mistakes and just one mistake makes a huge difference).
So,... thanks again to all and I've got to say,.. some excellent posts on this site. I believe it will become my favourite in no time.
(I'm DeepchapChopra on Fulltilt.... you might see me on the tables in the FTR500 if you happen to go deep in it, hee hee hee,.. or 25-50NL, $6-$11 sng turbos, & $26&up mtts).
