suggest sticking to 2NL and skipping the SnGs
or do it the other way
if you must, do the $1
can i ask why i should stick to a particular game?
cause it's harder to be good at both without at least first being good at one?
imho :P
i disagree. at low limits you should play both cash and SNG and find out which one you enjoy and are most comfortable with
but learning both cash/SNG at the same time and interchanging them very often is probably not the best idea
well to be honest i think im better at sngs then cash, i played a session of sngs tonight, 11 1.20 9 man tournaments
placed 1st twice, placed second once and placed 3rd 4 times went one bubble twice, and busted twice
good session IMO
so i think im going to stick to grinding 1.20 9man STT's, then i can try for battle of the planets as well
don't learn SNGs first
cash is harder than SNGs
if you only learn SNGs you won't be able to play cash
in cash you play against full stacks and short stacks
in SNGs everyone has a short stack
if you have a deep stack you get to make more river decisions, which is the street that you have the most information on
in SNGs you'll never learn river or deep stack play since it's a shove preflop or on the flop
