so someone told me if i planned to be a winning 200NL player i'd have to start playing 6max no later than 50NL...
is this true?! why or why not...
if this is the case i'm going to have to drastically change the entire manner in which i'm playing and being a lot more aggressive and exploit position...
i dunno if i'm ready to do all that yet...

umm if you want to be a winning 6max 200nl player then you should play 6max. if you want to be a winning full ring 200nl player then play full ring.Quote:

I was a degen "gambooool" kind of poker-loser when I decided to get serious, so nitting up was hard. But I could nit up enough for 6max, and my natural aggression worked well there. So I've focused on 6max. Like Sarbo, I was a winning player from the start at 10nl FR. My adjustments were just backwards-Sarbox.
Fortunately I've won several hundred bucks at 10nl which has fueled my attempts to learn other games (stud, PLO, tourneys, HU) and take shots at 25nl.
But like Swiggidy says, just figure out how to beat one game. Then worry about the next. I'm still trying to figure that part out myself, but it's not very stressful when you KNOW you can win yourself a roll at one game/level.
