Operation Newbie
Hi All =]
Just a little operation I created for myself hehe. Thought it would be nice to practice before playing in bigger games, and knowing how each level of cash is different.
My friend vouched to deposit $25 into pokerstars so I can play and practice a lot of the theory here.
So my operation thread is to track my progress! :) Maybe post some interesting hands! I'm playing .01 .02 NL games, so it really isn't going to be that heartwrenching if we see coolers like Straight Flush vs Quads (Oh I hit a straight flush to K today :) ).. Some games I get really good players trying to perfect their games, but other games feel like facebook poker all over. I noticed with all of the studying I've been doing, I can alternate between playing tight against good players, and looser against these players who tilt easy and all-in ridiculous top pair.
Day 1:
- I lost my first 1$ SnG and lost 2$ in the NL .01/.02.
*Stupid for not listening to other player's critique of my playing style. *Stupid for being awake for 26 hours and thinking I can play my A game on two tables at once.
Slept 2 hours
1st place on 18 ring SnG 1$ tournament. A few leaks in my game. Trying to identify them is difficult given, I haven't read anything on tournament play. I figured I had leaks cause I didn't know what to do at certain points of the tournament. I've been studying only NL Cash, but I know my tournament play is better than my cash play even with reading theory so far. + $7.50
I played a SnG 1$ but was multitasking and being stupid. - Lose $1.20
3$ buyin on NL .01 / .02. I was lucky; players went on tilt after about thirty minutes. I came out with + $8.
Total Amount Gained: +11$
I know this is a lucky day, since I almost reached 50% of my bankroll. Going to study more theory tonight and tomorrow before I play.
! Jumps happily cause I'm noticing strong improvements in my game!
