cbet the flop, if he calls and calls your turn bet then you'd be more certain about your status in the hand

i was cbetting nearly 100% of the time on this table, and with a flop like that, i felt he'd float me or play back at me with any two cards, so i opted to just check it

Now he played back at you even harder because he felt you didn't have shit

Yup, I think you're beat. Your preflop raise was too small to weed out any trashy hands, so you could be up against anything.

um, he's only been at the table with you for one orbit. He has no idea of how you play....
also, ignore stats from 10 hands - I often run 0-0 or 80-80 over a ten hand sample, it's meaningless.

you never run 55/8 because there are just NOT THAT MANY limping hands in general

I agree... cbet flop, then fold if he gives back resistance. If he still fights back on turn when you hit your card it's time to fold.

I'm calling the river. I don't see how he's ahead, given his crazy betting. Sure, it makes sense that he might have JJ, but I think we're ahead of his range overall, as TT, 99 or 88 might try this. Call river.
