I wish i was around back in the days when people could actually play their instruments. Thank god we still have guys like Gilmour, Clapton and BB King around cuz when they're gone we're fucked imo.
I like that dark side documentary where he talks about getting the riff for us and them (or was it great gig in the sky?) from a miles davis tune. somethin' like that.
Cool to see him working independent of the resta the band.
The best is when they show Roger's gay version of Money before Gilmour got a hold of it and made it good. Its not that i dont give Roger his due (hes a great song writer), but come on. He didnt write any of the guitar parts, which is what makes Floyd so great imo.Quote:

It's way easier to play on solo guitar than the album version :D
but yeah. gilmour is the man.
I dont know about that. The base line is rather easy to play and thats the whole tune really (except the solo obv). If i can play it anyone can cuz i pretty much suck. :pQuote:

rip sir
although it pisses me off when people say the wizard of oz and dark side of the moon sync up. i watched this one night and was pissed off it was so stupid, especially after hearing such good things about it.
so..(floyd fans will understand this.) no pulse
I haf not.Quote:

Jugband blues is a cool tune tho :)
There's tons of pre darkside gold in floyd's discography that's often overlooked. Obscured by clouds is like one of my favorite albums.
LOL most of Sid's music pretty much sucks and sounds to me like a bad Beatles impression. If Gilmour didnt join the band i wouldnt even like Floyd.Quote:
