don't slowplay, raise him on the flop

there were 7 players and i was first to act so i thought someone else would raise him. also i didnt want to reveal too much strength of my hand since id be raising him right after his raise with 5 ppl left to act

wouldn't i have gotten stacked if i raised him on the flop? and when is it okay to slowplay?

This flop doesn't really hit anyone unless they have a boat or trips. Usually one person bets and everyone else folds. I don't know if you get more money by raising later or not, but I'd try to get a raise in on the flop and try to get it in on the turn or something. The people you're playing against are just thinking about their own cards. OMG! trips! Maybe a raise smaller than the size of the pot to encourage a flush draw to come in.

If you had gotten it in on the turn and gotten stacked, that would not be bad, because you would have gotten it in ahead. The river's like the worst card evar. You MAY have to call because of retards betting straights/flushes on that board.

flopped full house isn't a bad time to slowplay. Especially on a board with a draw potential cause you wanna encourage people to draw and hit so you gets paaaiiiiidd... I like the flop call with that many left to act.

I'd raise the turn a little beefier. .70 or so.

That river's about the worst card in the world for you, but I think I still have to call because you have decent odds and there is a chance he has a flush, even though his line really really looks like an 8. Raising is terrible obviously. Maybe I'm too much of a pay-off bitch but I call that 1/2 pot river bet. *shrug*

TOP house is when you slowplay, you don't slowplay vulnerable full house hands.

For example, what if the next card gives him a higher house by pairing his other card?

I like gamb0ling with 'vulnerable' boats *shrug*.

i guess since SB's lead is often an 8 & he's probably paying you off at these limits with any 8 a flop raise is goot.

You have to start raising on the turn if you decide to call flop. We should be getting his stack here a lot.

I have learned the hard way you will make more money by not slow playing than you will by trying to. The end result is unless you have the nuts you will get them crushed and be forced to either not be able to get full value do to a scary turn or river card or loose a pot the was turned big after they hit. Either way if you play aggressive all the time eventually you will get the donks to play back at you and you will take down bigger pots. IMO

your full house is NO GOOD by the river... BET, BET and RAISE with that full house and that many people, you are going to get paid big a lot of the time
