I'm curious how many winning seasons combined our two teams have had in the last decade or so.Quote:

The Jets O-line, in particular, the left side with Da'Brick, Faneca, and Mangold vs. the Browns newly re-vamped D-line, which for all intents and purposes, also includes Kam Wimbley. He is basically a right end and has a sick outside duck-under move. Now last year what happened is the QB would step up in the pocket and the LT would shove him outside. Hopefully we can get an actual push up the middle, which was unheard of last year.
Raiders/Niners friday and i cant wait.
Our last one was 2000. Look at this sadness, especially the playoff history.Quote:

1 playoff win in 50 years? Impressive.Quote:

BRETT FAVRE!!!!!!!!
i just cant stand it when people make predictions based on the preseason, if you know what i mean, because the preseason means absolutely nothing.Quote:

preseason records mean little but saying the preseason is meaningless is wrong.
It means something, but mainly to the coaches and scouts. Information the general public gleans from the pre-season is usually completely wrong, or only right by accident.
okay, if miami went 4-0 this year, would that lead you to believe they are going to have a good year?Quote:

Until the 2007-08 playoffs, a team from the NFC South had appeared in every NFC Championship Game since the 2002 realignment: Tampa Bay (2002), Carolina (2003 & 2005), Atlanta (2004), and New Orleans (2006). The NFC South is also the first division since the realignment that has had each team in the division make at least one NFC Championship Game appearance.
From 2003 to 2007, the team that finished in last place in the division year has, the next season, finished in first place. Carolina finished last in 2002, and first in 2003. Atlanta finished last in 2003, and first in 2004. Tampa Bay finished last in 2004, and first in 2005. New Orleans finished last in 2005, and finished first in 2006. Tampa Bay, who finished last in 2006, finished first in 2007. If the trend continues in 2008, it would be Atlanta Falcons.
preseason is pretty much meaningless IF your a veteran.Quote:

I didn't watch the HOF game, so I can't really say if what I said would apply this year. I do know they lost though. :)
BROWNS are on my hit list after the cincy cleveland game last year. That should have been easy money. Browns go 8-8 this year.
LETS GO BORDIE CROYLE

Also, our dline is going to break Favre's legs. Forced retirement he won't return from.
I was thinking the same thing.Quote:

Although, Brett was fading in the big games the last few years, not just last year. IMO, he quit in the Dallas game last year before leaving to injury; he was chucking and ducking like if he was in a backyard game.Quote:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Raiders/Niners tonight.
Plus the fact that the NFC is relatively weak quarterback-wise compared to the AFC where you basically have two guys almost guaranteed to take up 2/3rds of the AFC QB pro bowl spots.Quote:

The Chiefs looked pretty good against the Bears. Granted, it was the freaking Bears, but they looked okay. Hopefully two years from now all of our young pups will turn into badasses and the Chiefs can get back to their glory days when they made the Playoffs every year just to get bounced in the first round. Wouldn't that be something!
The Raider D looked pretty good. Especially the secondary, which could be the best in the NFL. McFadden also looked great.
I know its too early to say, but this could be the start of us not sucking. :)
