FTR member bigspenda73 is going to start a weekly strategy discussion. Basically, writing poker strategy articles to help players finally "get it." The point of this post is to gather ideas from other FTR members. So, what topics would you guys like to see covered? Any ideas are cool, just toss some stuff out there and he will consider going into depth on it.

you know what I want to see. I want to see spenda dole out a strategy article based on somethine he sees another player doing wrong.

IE he picks a player, railbirds that player for an hour, and records it. Then he talks about what that player did wrong. Stopping, talking about the odds, where the player missed... why a play was bad etc

Or talk about what a player did well.

Break the play down as if you're looking over someones shoulder, and helping them play.

bet-sizing including pot and spr manipulation
3/4 betting
stop n go
player profiling
blind defence
common turn situations and available options
river play with the sixth nut hand...

1. Turn betsizing
2. Dynamic preflop hand selection, based on villains (i.e. changes on your hand selection when you face a 40/30 guy)
3. Playing the board and player, instead of your hand
4. River bluffs

3 betting
when to call a 3bet
4bettting

Why he folds AQo in EP.

1) ICM...
2) Bubble play
3) Hand ranging
4) c-betting in awkward situations

effective uses of poker tracker stats and stat ranges that helps one realize a certain plays will be profitable (ie rilla's example of 3betting a 15/13 CO raise w/ QJs on BU)

Would gladly volunteer to be the one watched over... anyway... let's see...

Developing reading skills for players

Umm... anything that helps a crappy donk micro player like me ;)

1. what his 4k post will be EDIT: wtf i miss one day of internet access and this happens?! coincidence?
2. why he creates a laggy image in 6max...then keeps that image up instead of switching gears

Strategy for ranging players hands in online NLHE mtts.

When was the last time you re-raise bluffed someone on a dry board?
Ran a pure float on a board other than Axx?

Micro stakes table selection?

I think that's where I need help....I always seem to be out of place at my tables even if it's loaded with fish.

Something just on attacking the typical 2p2 regular at a given level.

Light threebetting
Thin valuebetting
Bluffing weak nits in medium and big pots

I'm thinking about doing a few topics, I'll have to figure out the order in which I do them in:

1. 4bet/5bet semi-bluffing and FE calculations
2. Adjusting to the 2+2 Tagg
3. 5 Major leaks of a losing small-stakes poker player
4. Light 3betting and adjustments
5. Bet-sizing

1 4 3 2 5 is my vote

For majority of the crowd I think 3 5 4 2 1 is a better order

Agreed. I would also like to see something about folding big hands i.e. narrowing villain's range on each street and coming to the conclusion that even though we have a big hand, we're beat. I tend to turn a great session into a losing one in one big hand quite often.

wow, nice! i had somehow missed them - I'll read them over the weekend. Between that and trying to re-read/understand all of ISF's articles, it;s lucky i've got a few days left of my poker playing hiatus!

One small edit to suggest - in the value-betting/bet-sizing article on protection bets, villain is drawing to 7 outs cos we have the draw etc...

I disagree with some points of your table selection guide. But I think that about just about every guide.

Too much focus on having loose players at the table and not enough on where to put them.

Well I did dive into it at the end, maybe just not enough for your taste?
