how much was in the pot? how exactly did preflop go? any reads? what was the flop?
hm i watched the replay and it was a bad move, very lucky i won it...glad i watched it the hand again, it helped me determine my own answer, bad call!!!!!! lol lucky i won
haha self evaluation is very underrated. Remember that.
i will definately keep this in mind, judging your own plays is very helpful ive been doing it for most big hands win/lose....and actually in the last couple of days i have won a lot more then lost, im definately improving and i owe it all to this forum!!
THANKS GUYS
Wait... how much was in the pot.... it may not have been a bad play.... you need to understand why it was/wasn't a good play
weaktight.com
post your hand histories through that
Either way it was a bad play. If you got half your stack in preflop it may have been a good call but you screwed preflop up. If you didn't have the odds to call then you screwed post flop up. If your playing $5NL we have even more problems.
Again i already know i played this badly, this is just to show you how it went down

Yeah you played that fairly poorly. First off fold preflop to the guys opening bet. A3s isn't a horrible hand to limp in late position after limpers, but it is fairly often a dominated hand when facing a raise. For instance, if he had a hand such as AJ then you only had 28% to win (because only your 3 card was live). So dump it preflop.
On the flop you don't need to be playing that passively there by just calling a potsized bet. A potsized bet gives you 2:1 pot odds and the chances of catching a flush on the next card is 4:1 so you aren't getting enough. Especially with another guy to act behind you. Easy fold.
The more likely the players behind us are to call, the better it makes our call.Quote:

It does change the odds a bit. Not enough to make it -ev imo. Calling here is basically the same as shoving because we are for sure stacking off unless the pot checks down which would be out of the ordinary to say the least with us having about 1/8 of a psb left.Quote:

We need less than 2:1 to stack off 3 way and about 2:1 exactly to stack off HU.
