leveling up,
what is considering goin up to the next level? i'm currently playin .02/.04 nl, would it be considered leveling up if i played .05/.10 nl or .10/.20. does the skill level really start to pick up that low in the stakes?
also, do all of these poker sites require a picture of your ID and a picture of your credit card? that sounds fishy to me. but they are telling me its for my own safety. am i the only one that isn't comfortable with sending my credit card and ID internationally via the internet? thanks guys.

If you went from .02/.04nl (4nl) up to .05/.10nl (10nl) you would essentially be moving up in stakes (leveling up I guess). Make sure you are only doing it if your BR is deep enough to play at the new stakes comfortably.
The general rule on BR management is to have 20 buyins for the stakes you want to play. Say you have a $200 roll you could move from 4nl to 10nl as you have 20 buyins for 10nl.
And the play doesn't change much (if at all) in the microstakes. The change in skill level from 4nl to 10nl should be practically non-existant.
And no, I've never sent any of that information to PokerStars, Ultimate Bet, or Full Tilt. So yeah, that does sound fishy.
Good luck.

bail out of that site. they ask for credit card info only when you deposit for obvious reasons. Other than this i see no reason why they should want your ID and cred card...however someone looking to steal your identity or scam you on the other hand...
what site is this?/?

I had to send a scan of my drivers license to full tilt when they suddenly closed my account stating I had multiple accounts.
I'm not sure where they got that idea, I had never seen any of the other usernames on the list they gave me, but I explained they weren't mine and after sending a scan of my ID they turned my acct back on.
