44 vs (pretty bad) lagg

My PT isn't working for some reason, so I don't have stats. Villain was playing a wide range pre and seemed to be willing to bet 3 streets with TP or better. I would ordinarily play much more aggro with a set and try to get it in, but I decided to play more passive with my big hand against this villain because he was so willing to bet. Is this bad?

On the river, I really wanted to raise for value, because I didn't see how he could have gotten here with a 6, but I wasn't sure what he could have that would call a shove which didn't beat me.

Looking back on the hand I feel I definitely should have raised the turn. I still kind of like my flop call because I was confident he would fire another bet with almost any hand with value.

Please correct me where I'm wrong because I felt really weird about this hand for some reason.

If he thinks his hand has any value, he'll most often call you. So you should definitely raise this flop. Get his money in there is quick as possible.

Just raise the flop the board is drawy and looks weaker than raising the turn or river

if your sure hes gonna 2 barrel turn amost always regardless if he has anything or not i dont mind a flop call, but by the turn you HAVE to raise. As played i just call river.

It's not very likely that he has passed us. I think shoving this river is still the right move as played. Plus it makes our hand look like a missed flush draw and AJ will snap it off and we could get called by as bad as TJ. I would usually raise flop or turn though.

Why don't you save yourself the trouble and just pay him to leave the table so you can pick on the more passive sorts if your monster line against him is call, call, shove bad river card.

How often do you think he has a 6 in his hand? How often do we have one in our hand? 66, A2s, and 67s are the only hands we could have here that give us a straight. I think that a bad lagg is going to look us up with a J in his hand here a ton. I wouldn't necessarily take my advice though.

Edit: I also think that a decent lagg will also look us up here some of the time. Especially given the read that he goes for 3 streets of value with TP.
