Tilt and keeping on your game...
Tilt is one thing, and i've learned how to control it fairly well, but what I'm needing help with now is the staying on my game during times where I am avoiding tilt...
ie:
i can easily avoid getting involved with hands after some bad beats etc. ie: avoid tilt.
my problem right now is that the bad beats are effecting my thought process anyway, but its all post flop.
for example,
last night i flopped a boat (33) on a 553 board.
villain was a horrible lagg who ive seen bluff with ace high on a 2 paired board before...
i let vill bet 3/4 pot bets into me on flop and river, cards were 10 and 10 putting 2 pair on the board.
villain overshoved river and (slaps himself) I folded. he then showed his ace high
now,
when on my game against this vill i call here 100%,
so why did i fold?
my theory is, im trying to avoid "tilt" instead of playing with my reads/instincts.
I knew he couldnt have had a 10, and i knew he very likely did not have a 5 either.
but i must of been thinking i would be avoiding just another bad beat if i folded?
wtf??
also, there are many other hands that i lose soooo much value on because I jam too early or bet to big.
its as if i want them to fold instead of extracting value because i dont want to see a river card (scared of bad beat)
i mean wtf???
the last 2 days, with the cards ive been getting, and flops ive been hitting, i should be on a huge heater, and im not.
