ATo 3bet pot OOP

villain is 33/26/aggro over 135 hands. ive 3bet him 4 or 5 times. he 4bet me last time i 3bet his button open and i folded. ive cbet 2 of the 3 flops we've seen in 3bet pots, took one down, the other he called an xx8r flop and he showed down 87 when we checked down (i showed AQo)

comments on all streets. i bet small on the turn to induce a shove.

Hmm, if he calls 3-bets with 87 why wouldn't you want to bet the flop? As played get it all in on the turn.

i guess i thought betting or raising the flop lets him fold too many hands im way ahead of

Fair enough but at small to mid stakes I rather play for stacks with AK or AQ here.

i'd wayyyy wayyy wayyy wayyy rather c/s the turn.

Why wouldn't you bet this flop?

And i agree if you dont c/s turn or c/c it but not b/c thats just gooofy.

is a c/r on this flop bad in this spot?

Yeah, you're leaving him with enough stack to get away with bluffs and you don't really have any hands you have to protect from. I like crai on the turn.

cbet and play like you would AA; there is no other way to play it post. when doing that the discussion should gravitate towards 3betting pf being plusev or not. i doubt it is

this is what i originally planned on doing when i decided to c/c flop, but i felt like villain wouldnt double barrell here w/ hands im crushing like TT-KK/worse aces/possible 67s/78s, and that leading the turn weak like this would give villain percieved FE for a shove.

I would way rather c/c the turn and river against this opponent than your goofy line.

for me, i just fold pre, even though villain is laggy and prolly pretty bad. i just really hate playing ATo in a 3 bet pot.

edit: nvm i misread the hand.

this is ok but I'd rather either bet the flop and expect to get raised a decent % of the time by an aggro

or just check-call his ass all the way

his calling range is what matters. if he's any kind of decent he folds A9s. we're much better off with T9
