Help! What to do vs. villains with mixed stack sizes?

This is just a general question, as I'm getting confused as to alter my range accordingly to this type of situation:

Let's say BB is super nit with a full stack, and SB is a shorty with like 25BBs and the only move he makes to your raise from button is a AI re shove, and he does this like 15-20% of the time.

Do I want to tighten my normal button opening requirements here? Do I want to manipulate my raise amount to smaller raises like 3x or even 2.5xBB?

I was just was getting a little confused in a bunch of mixed stack situations tonight. I don't think I was playing against the short stacks very well.

I'm averaging playing at about 27/24 at the moment.

play the same otb, but make a smaller raise. 3x is fine. remember with shorty, its ok to fold a couple times. He'll gain confidence, then you take all his money when you have a hand.

better to loan him money for a little by folding (and not altering your style vs. BB) and then to take it later than to not raise, or call shoves too light.

I'd take any pair, AQ/AK/AJ KQ depending on how light he shoves

Okay yea thats pretty much what I did.

But what about if shorties limp in ep? I think I may be messing that up. Cause I like raising to 5 BB a ton in those spots and then end up getting it AI with a worse range I think.

Don't isolate the shorties so much if they are just limp shoving on you. Also if they are shoving from the blinds you should tighten up your BU range quite a bit as well (depending on how much they are going all in). 3xbb pre is also a good adjustment.
