Nobody gets The Mighty Boosh the first few times they see it, it's fucking classic after a while though.

South Park isn't funny...
(have to admit my mates all think i'm weird. I don't really like the Simpsons and i fell asleep during Team America)
I never said you have to find it funny, but calling south park a stupid show only about swearing is like saying Lord of the Rings is only about jewelry.
gp red. also lets take the perfect example of the office. the american version is sooooo much better than the UK.Quote:

Also, south park is decent.
Family Guy is hilarious except some jokes I don't get because they are about some US celebrity I've never heard of. Ive only seen one episode of the American version of the office and I much prefer the English version from what I've seen.
Watch a few more.Quote:

The Mighty Boosh is one of the funniest sitcoms of the 21st century. Absolute genius!
Explain to me how one of those two episodes are genius and I may become a believer. I honestly feel like it's trying to be slapstick but clever but can't pull it off.
Fawlty Towers is one of my all time favourite comedys and : New England boss Fabio Capello is a huge fan of the classic comedy sitcom Fawlty Towers and has been watching the show, which stars John Cleese as bumbling hotel owner Basil, in an attempt to improve his grasp of the English language.
Its an educational tool too!
Now John Cleese, there is a true genius of comedy. Did I mention he was a guest professor at Cornell for a few years? Classy guy.
To really appreciate the humour in all of the video clips posted in this thread you have to:
1. Have watched the entire episode.
2. Be English.
That explains it. Or maybe it's just my age.Quote:

the american Michael is a bit easier to laugh at than the british David. the british ones is too good at what he does. I almost find myself unable to laugh at him and his antics because I feel bad for him/am so uncomfortable.
The british Tim is superior to the american Jim, whereas the british Dawn is inferior to the american Pam.
Gareth is easier to dislike than dwight, but dwight is a pretty damn funny character. and the interpaly between dwight and michael is superior to that between gareth and david. just my opinion though.
if you want to talk british vs american comedies where the british one wins by a landslide see coupling v. friends.
for a good british sketch comedy show, man stroke woman. it is probably older, but they are just starting to show it on the comedy network here.
I disagree. Jim is awesome.
