Soft Poker Rooms and Netteller

I have been out of poker for over a year. I am trying to get back into it now. I am starting out at $25 NL and hope to build a BR from there. I deposited $100 at Bodog. I am doing OK (break even, over short hand sample) but the games don’t feel as soft as my old room (which now doesn’t take US players). I aspire to $100NL which is where I was when I quit a year ago.

Is there another poker room that you would suggest that may be softer than Bodog and takes US players?

Can I still move my money around Via Netteller or is that off limits to US players now. What can I use instead?

cant really help with the "sites." i am a US player, too, and i've noticed a difference. the players at stars, FT, and AP have preflop games...sort of. and, are getting better at not paying off obvious monsters/flushes.

expect it to be a bit different this go round, but if you were beating 100NL, you should still beat the other games, too.

never played Bodog, but cant imagine its tighter than stars/FTP. AP has loosened up a good bit, imo, and they let you buy in for 200 bb's...a definite advantage for a former 100NL player. playing the 25's there is like playing 50's elsewhere in terms of money at the tables.

and, no, neteller is off limits now. you can thank Bill Frist for that one. you need another ewallet, like epassporte to name one, or visa gift cards. and some sites have trouble with the gift cards.

rakeback is very important now, imo, because of the lack of bonuses...although, bonuses are making a small comeback.

Question about EPassporte. Does the poker site have to support it in order to cash out to EPassporte or does one just setup an EPassporte virtual Visa and somehow cashout to that?

the poker site MUST use it as a deposit/withdrawal method.

but, stars, AP, FTP, and UB all use it. i dont know about Bodog. i think Cake does, too.

i believe, for the US, epass is the most common ewallet currently.

read all the disclaimers before you throw them some money. a lot of people dont like the fees they charge, but i dont withdraw through them, except rarely.

it takes longer to set up than neteller did, from what i remember, but once it gets rolling, its pretty smooth. and, now, its rather fast to transfer money between sites, too, which it wasnt several months back.

btw, transferring money from site to epass, or from epass to site, is free. its depositing into epass and withdrawing from epass that incurs fees.

If you have a credit card/debit card and online banking, you can see the micro pending charge immediately. I was set up on epassporte in literally under 5 minutes. Then I use an epassporte visa card to get my money out via ATMs.

forgot to include that option, as i cannot stand credit cards...or a $35 fee to set one up. my bad.
