When to move to 10NL?

Hi all - I quit tourneys to try out cash games. . I'm enjoying the grind but trying to figure out when to move up. What do you guys think - I'm playing 5NL at PS and just hit 15k hands..

VP$P = 33.0 (intentionally loose)
PFR = 11.8 (lots of raising with position)
AF = 3.8/2.0/1.9 (pretty aggressive I know, but so many pots are uncontested..)
WtSD = 20.5
W$SD = 49.6
ptBB/100 = 15.7
Total winnings = 2,413BB = $96.63

Any thoughts?

The general consensus is that $5NL and $10NL are the same game. You move up when your BR allows. If you haven't done any research on bankroll management, you may want to do that now. Move up when you have $200+ and are comfortable.

Stats look fine EXCEPT for VPIP.
This is horribly high. People like cocobill the resident 6-max star have VPIP of half that - and that's 6-max. Maybe look at the hands that are costing you money and realise that K7s is not a hand to play from middle position...

As for moving up to 10NL, if you've got more than $200 then go for it, move down again if you drop under $170

i dont mind his VPIP as we are talking of 5nl, so when u have a decent roll just take a 5bi shot or whatever.. i dont think u necessarily need the 20bis($200).. just when u are comfortable give it a shot.

your stats look great, don't expect much of a difference in quality of play when you move up. expect to win twice as much. move up now.

I don't normally criticize other people's advice, but what you are suggesting is very irresponsible, and could cost someone their bankroll. It doesn't matter what the stakes are, your risk of ruin with 5 buy ins is very substantial. Don't do this unless you don't mind going busto.

grnydrowave2, i understand what u are saying .. if op wants to do it safe then wait for 30bis..

I'm giving my opinion based on my experience.. op beats 5nl for 15k at 13ptbb which in my opinion is enough to take a 5 bi shot.. as the play at the next level wont be different and he will probably survive.. besides, u wont learn a lot playing at ultra micro levels, so i think op need to move up quick. I did not waited for 20bis to move up and started at the lowest limits available and i wasnt near broke.

You were fortunate not to go broke. It doesn't matter how skilled you are, 5 buyin downswings are very common. If you don't already understand that, then your experience is obviously very limited.

OPs winrate is inflated, btw, but as I just said that's not at all relevant.

you are only giving him 3 BI's at the new level? thats not BR manangement, thats NITsville.

if you have over $200 and want to give 10NL a shot....do it. and use the "spenda theory:" dont drop until you go under 30 BI's for the 10NL level. or, $150.

but, hell, and this is hypocritical, but if you are beating the 5's that solidly, then, i would ride my br down to about $125 before dropping back to 5NL.
