Lo ??
i guess i didnt see this one, but it confused the bleep out of me.
if i have A2, with no protection, and the board puts up the A. obv, i got my Lo busted off. but, if a fourth comes under 8, my A2 is live again? because i can drop the A off the board and use my A2 to make a new nut Lo?
heres the hand.
i'm guessing i should have recognized that, but i didnt know, and bet the river. feel free to give advice on the rest of the hand, too.

the more i look at that....i should have bluffed the shit out of the river, even if i didnt see the A2 was live again. :(

on the turn you didnt have a low, on the river you have 8642A and your opponent could have a 6hi low.
See you have to use the 8, opponents with a hand like 2-3 do not.
-
also you should easily know this by now, are you doing your homework?
-
According to the hand history, you were playing pot limit Omaha high, not high low.
-
The converter doesn't list it as low
-
no, it was O8...the converter isnt specifying.
spenda, i gave up after the turn because the A counterfeited a Lo, for me...i thought. i had no protection, only the A2. and i figured you had to use two in your hand. so, when four lows hit the board, i figure, "what difference does that make, my A is unusable...and besides, its paired now anyway." once the river hit, i didnt think i could drop the A from the board and use the A in my hand again. partially because i was trying to see if there was any possible way to get the Hi.
anyway, the 23 is the nut Lo, right? because of the 6 being HIS highest card. and my A2 is a decent Lo, but i am using the 8. and 6 high beats 8 high.
i've been doing tons of "homework," but guess i'm not picking it up as fast. besides, i am only playing Omaha about 1-2 days a week...and for about an hour to hour and a half. not long...so i see about, what, 10 hands? lol.
seriously, my "homework" consists of: i have been reading, dealing cards out to myself on the kitchen table (so i can really look at the board with several hands out), and playing a bit online.
bion, i havent seen that particular situation come up...where i've split the pot with what looked like a non-usable hand. i just need to look even closer, obv. and it surprised me to take the Lo when i figured to get nothing at all...so i thought i'd ask for clarification. thx.

Preflop is fine, flop bet is OK since both checked
Turn is a bad card for you, so the check is not bad.
I would bet the river, about 1/2, you have little going for you but villian checked both turn and river and you may be able to pick up the pot, if not you have a decent chance to escape with 1/2 the pot with your TP for high or shitty low for low
