NL400: TT v LP 200BB deep

Villain was a 41/22 who would call any 3-bet preflop with the same range he called a single raise. Previously he'd called two bets with KJ on a K-high board in a 3-bet pot against my QQ. What's your line and why?

bet close to pot. your still ahead of his range here.

I think check/folding the turn is fine. Given your notes, it seems unlikely he would bet at the pot with only a draw if checked to, and you may be betting into a pot where you are drawing dead.

Bet the river if a heart/8/J/Q/K/A doesn't hit, otherwise check/fold river as well.

i definitely bet against this fish

bet pretty big imo

i don t like it but don t see any better lines. he has something like QhJx here a ton of the time.

I can see how if betting the flop is good against this player, the turn therefore must also be good - seeing as the board didn't change.

If called again on the turn, what are we doing on non-heart rivers? I'm interested both in A/K rivers and in blanks. Nearly any line on the river makes me unhappy. I guess betting and losing more to the flush is better than checking and losing value from all the random hands he could have.

if you get called again on the turn, then he probably has at least a pair with a heart or gutshot (assuming hes not crazy laggy). i know you say he calls every 3bet, but really would he call A8o or K8o? or peel the turn with AhJx type hands?

by default i doubt that, so i'd consider an offsuit A/K a blank. being pretty deep i think he'd just check behind hands you beat, and i doubt he'd hero call them (?), so i'd lean to check-folding the river. but if he auto-pots the river like some donks do, or if i had a read or weird feeling about it i might talk myself into calling a bet.

I don't know that he bets the river, but I have little doubt he calls the turn with the above hand types. He lost nearly a full buyin with 54s when his paired 4 didn't hold up to a preflop+flop+river bet (which was really funny given that his opponent also had 54s, but of the right suit).

It's worth remembering that Laggs play the way they do in part so that people with TT will call off 200bs with a small overpair.

There's a big difference between a decent lag and a loose/passive station. The latter is the player described above.
