flop raises?
i tend to bet the flop a good bit with different stuff. cbets, TPGK+, 8+ outers, etc. i tend to get raised a good bit, too. usually, i fold to these, unless i have something that will make a better hand.
are these typically testers? or real raises? i know it depends on opponent, but i'm going for a general strategy to start from here.
if you fight back, do you RR or only call? if you call, do you lead turn, c/c again, or c/fold when unimproved?
and, what do you "fight back" with? better than TPTK? combos?
ex.
you have AQo in mp1. you raise 4X and get a caller with position on you. pot at 9bb's roughly.
flop one...3s Ah Jc. you fire out 6bb's, and get popped to 18bb's total (forcing you to call 12 bb's) what do you do w/o reads?
flop two...3d 3s Qd. now?
flop three...Kd Qs 8d. now?
flop four...Js Ks 6h. now?
i can run scenarios all night, but those will get me started oop.
now reverse positions. what now? same 4 flops.

It depends. As posted, it's far too general and that's probably why nobody replied.

1) Fold
2) Call
3) Fold
4) Fold

thx, martin.
how about if you are in position? you are pfr'r, and you get donk bet on flop 6bb's. what do you do? call/raise/fold?
-
Without any reads on villain then out of position for me it's
1)50-50 call/fold
2) 50-50 call/push
3) fold
4) fold
by the way, what limit is this at, might change things a little.
And when you have position, it depends a lot on what happened pre-flop Did villain limp, you raise 4-5xbb, villain called? or villain raised, you called? or villain raised, you re-raised, villain called? Post one or two of these options and I'll give you my thoughts (I'm not playing much NL at the moment (limit and loving it!), but you can read and burn or disagree or whatever you choose!)
Also, if you're betting the flop with the hands you describe then you need to be betting your made hands (flopped straights etc) exactly the same.

keep the scenario the same, as per OP.
if we have position, it would be...villain limps, we raise. or, put villain in blind, if you wish, it makes no diff to me.
i play both 10 and 25 right now, but i wanted to keep it to bb's instead of $$'s because i want higher levels to give their thoughts, too, in case the levels think differently.
btw, i do keep semibluffs, cbets, flopped sets all the same when betting. i may, or may not, vary my river bet. but, most times its all the same. i am a huge advocate in not tipping with bet sizes.

Whenever the betting gets big, I need a big hand.
Whenever the betting gets big and I don't have a big hand, I need a good read.
Whenever the betting gets big, and I don't have a big hand or a good read, I fold.

do you still consider TPTK a big hand, or do you feel like you get pushed off too many pots?
-
TPTK is sometimes good. It only depends against who.
I'm not instashoving when I have TPTK, but I'm not instafolding either.
Also, I have to look at redraw possibilities.
All in all, I think TPTK is the trickiest hand to play in NL.

wow. that surprises me.
i figured to get the response, "it all depends on board texture and your read."
i play at a level where reads help, but not a lot. in other words, you can still do just fine without focusing on them and playing solid abc poker.
TPTK, to me, rarely puts you in a "marginal" situation. you either flop an extremely strong hand, or you flop something that isnt quite good enough, and by the turn, you prolly have it figured out.
for instance, you have AJo on button, and raise it up. you get a caller from the bb. flop comes J 8 5. sure, there are some draws out, but in all probability, you have a no doubter here. so, you bet. villain calls. turn is T. you bet again. villain calls. option 1)river is K...now you need a read of somekind, but without one, i fire if checked to. or 2) river is 2...and villain donkbets you. now i need a read, but w/o one, am likely calling a value-type bet, but no a bigger one.
however, after a couple 3/4 pot bets, odds are villain is no longer around to see those river scenarios.
if i flop TPTK and fire a couple streets, and villain doesnt go away, i get suspicious, but its going to take me two streets to think i'm beat or being floated.
just my .02
