KQo HU against limp/re-raise ($27)

Opp is a donkey - stats something like 67/0. That's right, he hasn't raised a single hand all tourney and has limped in the majority of times preflop.

Getting 1.5 to 1 on the call I have correct odds against anything other than QQ+ and AQ+, I have to call here, don't I? Should I have just shoved it preflop? Seemed a bit excessive with 13x BB and considering the fact this guy has limp/folded to raises previously.

Uggg, this spot sucks. If your opponent is THAT bad tho, i would fold here instead of calling and probably being in a bad situation. You can probably make a comeback with 9BB

I think I am folding here. If villian is that bad of a donkey this hand reaks of a huge hand where he spooged all over himself as he pushed his chips in the middle.

I think you can wait for a better spot to take his chips.

I think I'd probably fold even though that makes me want to shoot myself in the head. And I wouldn't open shove pre-flop either because this type of player loves to call off a lot of chips pre-flop and then fold on the flop. That's one of the best ways to take their chips in fact.

Ummm ... no. Lets not be result oriented. Just because it happens once in a while doesn't mean it's the norm. What's our sample size? I still believe the fold is correct in the long run.

Here's my point. Sometimes you're in a situation where your hand is so strong that you should never lay it down. KQ heads-up with 13 BB, getting 2:1 odds, is one of those situations. But instead, we sometimes talk ourselves into making a heroic fold (which in a vacuum is BAD BAD BAD) because "well this guy is so passive and awful that he'd never do this without a hand that has us crushed blah blah blah" and we're usually wrong to do it. Even passive players get out of line sometimes so you shouldn't make horrible folds like this.

Most of the time, ABC Poker is what wins the money instead of making absurd call-downs with A high or folding sets or whatever.

I would rather make a heroic fold based on the knowledge at hand than a mistake the other way around. I still think a fold in that situation is the right move.

I don't care how passive he is, if he has 88 he's shoving here. We're going to have to go in to push/fold anyway if we fold, so he'll soon catch on and call pretty wide. I can't see how you can argue for a fold here. Such a terrible donk prob doesn't see limp raise as a trap anyway, just "hmm I have a hand I call, getting aggro are we? You think you can push me around? ALL IN!"
