Overpair question

MTT Tournament , 2nd hand.
QQ on the button. Raise 4xBB , 3 callers.
5 6 Jack.
What should i bet?
Half the pot or the pot?
I bet the pot and chased them all away. I think i should of bet half the pot.
Unless someone has AJ or a straight draw I'm probally not getting action regardless of what i bet.
If someone has KK or AA than im in bad shape but from no one reraising me pre flop i guess i can pretty much rule those two hands out.
Simple question just seeing what others would do in the same scenario.
(I really wanted to double up early opposed to the measly 200 Chips i won)

bet 2/3 to 3/4 the pot, pot sized bet is fine. AJ still calls there in most tourneys. Remember, you want to find out where you are quickly in a multi-way pot. Although in many small buy-in tourneys (under $25)you should be prepared to take a player to the felt, 'cause it's often donkey meat.

PS-whatever you do, don't minbet or do any slowplaying cute-ass shit. Easy way to get knocked out.

Yeah when i first started playing and watching poker on T.v. (year n a half ago) i'd probally try to be cute and check , thinking im trapping. but really just letting them get a chance to catch an ace with their ace-anything hands.
