Sorry if this is a remedial question, but when are you pot committed? Is there a specific amount of your money that needs to be in the pot versus how many people are in the hand?

Depends on hand ranges and pot odds.
It's not really related to how much you've put into the pot. It's the effective amount of money left to go in compared to the pot size.
Basically, you are pot committed if the pot odds are there for you to call a bet of any size.
I don't ever feel pot commited, and this isn't the first time I've mentioned this here.
In relation, however, the only time I feel a good decision is to call on the river without the nuts is when I feel my read gives me good pot odds to call.
example: I think I am winning at least 10% of the time in a situation where villain bets $10 into a $90 pot.
This isn't an obligation or commitment though, just a good decision.
