uh yes, i think i would have called that all in. But your new here, typically people don't post results in their posts if they are looking for advice, especially not in your post title.

If your looking for help with a particular spot, don't reveal results as they will often inadvertently skew the advice you are given. So next time, cut the hand off where you have a tough decision like the rest of the posts in this forum. If needed, reveal results later.

About the hand, meh hard to remember the micros but im pretty confident i would have called. You should almost never be folding a flopped set unless their is 3 to a flush/str8 and you have serious reads. Get your money in here, if your behind to 910 pray for the board to pair and run better. :)

never ever fold a set. even a on a 3flush or straight board, you're not too wrong going all in.

Call all day. You are ahead the vast majority of the time here.

I think it's a tough spot, frequently a C/R all in on that board means str8 and seriously, i dunno how the other guy could call without at least top set to a raise and a reraise...

Maybe i give to much credit to the donk randoms?

Judging by the way you guys are talking, i should disrepect all raises and pushes?

Like for example this isn't like a 10-10-4-4-2 board on river when all of a sudden my opponent pushes all in and i can say with good confidence he has J9 or KJ so i can call with ace high. However on flops like the above when i get a lot of action, i fold the best hand sometimes...

I guess what i'm saying is, is it better to fold in situations like that when you are unsure and wait for a "better spot" or should i just call and hope i'm good like you guys are saying ?

in spots where you are unsure, i would say you are generally correct in that you should fold when your just learning at these stakes.

However, this is not one of those spots. At micro stakes you should pretty much NEVER be folding a flopped set. Very rarely will you be beat here. If you fold this 9 times out of 10, your probably beat only once out of those 10. So think of it that way, your letting so much money go by folding here. I

Btw i do think judging by this you do give too much credit to the donk randoms. You start thinking "ok, how am i beat here?" instead of, what does this donk likely have. You shouldn't "disrespect all raises and pushes" but learn when you likely have the best hand, and in this situation, 90 percent of the time, you have the best hand, so why fold? get your money in good and hope for the best.

You are never "sure". Therefore you have to rely on making the most +EV play and here that play is getting all your chips in on the flop. Folding is a mistake.

Too many people are willing to go all in with two-pairs, TPTK, overpairs, and draws that you just have to get it all in. Even if you're up against a flopped straight you have a lot of outs.

I dont mind this fold, I dont think folding here is a mistake - as played opponants very rarely have just a pair here. To the people who say never fold a set - dont make hard and fast rules - every situation is different - there will be times when folding a set is +EV.

No you don't wait for better spots in cash games, cash games are all about +EV. It's clearly a fairly easy call given the stakes/stacks. For less than 100bbs I'm stacking off if they got a better set or hoping for a paired board if they got the straight, no way I'm folding.

Plus at these limits there is a propensity to overplay hands that you beat for example overpairs/two pair.

Pretty much all winning players are calling

Yes there are situations where folding sets is +Ev but this isn't one of them. usually it requires a strong read and pretty deep effective stacks, which OP has neither
