pretty big beat
Not angry about this just a little surprised. I really expected him to have K-High flush.
I knew the possibility was there on a paired board but with his raise preflop i really couldn't put him on J9, 89, 39. I suppose he could've with 89s or 99 but I figured this was worth the push.

Threebet preflop.
It's close between threebetting the river and just calling... ugh.
-
I don't believe in RR AQ preflop. Infact I generally dislike the hand and play it very slow unless i hit something big with it (like nut flush)
-
6 handed w/ your late position you have to rr preflop w/ aq, unless your opp is complete rock who opens it w/ a large raise.
-
if you only call raises with AQ, you are going to end up against AA, QQ, AK a lot!! and never know where you stand in the hand.
if you RR, you will still get called by a lot, but should typically get RRed/pushed over by KK/AA, maybe QQ. and from there, you can fold off your AQ.
that doesnt help against AK, necessarily, but at least you can find the other 3 big hands out against you more often.
you cut your being dominated by 4-5 hands down to 1-2 with a simple 3bet pf.
