I'll post some donkshow hands later, there were a couple.

Given the limited nature of my current stake, I'll probably be moving back down to 0.10 DS $25NL. I figured while my stake was still fairly healthy I'd buy-in to the 0.25 DS $50NL for $30 and see what the competition was all about.

Hand 1 - good
Hand 2 - yah fine

Hand 3 - You're lucky you were ahead here, or that villain in this hand was willing to stack off with top pair ass kicker. If you're always felting AJ in this spot though, you'll get into trouble as you move up I'd imagine. I would need a read against villain that he overvalues any top pair to feel good about this.

Hand 4 - Why not bet this flop? Against two opponents I think you need to bet here, its not like your hand is that strong to be letting two guys see a free card. I'd prefer a bet flop, bet turn, check through river line than a check flop and bet turn and river I think.

Hand 5 - fine

also what are your stats to raise K7 from CO with one limper must be pretty high?
Also be careful raising hands like that pre, that you don't get too involved on K high flop you're very likely outkicked.
Hand 3 I also call shortstack
Hand 4 I dont think your hand is strong enough to check behind on flop.
Hand 5 Raising k6 Utg+1 cant be +ev longterm.
(What are your preflop raising stats, you should be raising less UTG & UTG +1,
& I would only be raising K7 on the button with no limpers, especially at 25nl where they call so loosely that you can afford to wait for more premium starting hands.)

I was raising to get position, IIRC the 2 players in the blinds were nitty as hell protecting their blinds < 5% of the time, early limper was limping @ 50%, and was cold calling everything. The reason for the weak lead I on the flop is I was trying to rep a small-mid PP, and possibly have any decent K reraise me. It worked in this spot, but if anyone flat called with a heart draw and hit on the turn I would've puked.

Almost all my cbets up to this point were getting folds on the flop; I was fairly confident I was ahead, and maybe way ahead and took a gamble on a c/r line on the flop, planning to use the deception to get some money in on the turn if they checked after me, by underrepping my hand. I don't think I could've made anymore than I did this hand by taking any other line, even if I'm increasing my variance by giving a free card.

Villian's weren't reraising much preflop, and also weren't cold calling, it's not a "standard" play I would usually make; but again I'm pretty confident about this particular table, these opponents, and my ability to make a big hand or get out cheap. Flop call was 100% implied odds decision. King or a 6 on the turn or I'm back in the closet with R. Kelly.

So I'm chalking this one up to calculated risk based on game texture.

Does it matter if you are or not, it won't stop you from thinking that.

Why is it that we have to examine only losing hands. Why can't we examine winning hands to see if we played well post flop, could've better maximized value, etc.

Just as much can be learned from the constructive analysis of winning hands as from losing hands.

And I already said that I was going to post some hands I played REALLY bad this session. There are people here who still insist on painting me with the wrong brush, and it's getting aggravating.

Your explanation for the K7 hand makes sense if you can get away from a heart turn.

Giving two players a free card when you only have TPGK on flop, & given that you would be unlikely to get away from top pair if they hit -still not good , (just my opinion) & if they folded to your c-bet that would be a great result.

last hand, fine explanation, but that hand that position is throwing away money
regardless I think.

I really like how you played hand 1

I think you open PF too light you're putting yourself in marginal situations and from what I've seen in other threads of hands you've posted your postflop game cannot make up for these spots.

Before you jump on my UTG stats, I got a ton of PP's UTG in this session.

The other thing about this session that was kind of sour, was spiking 3 sets on the flop that everyone folded to my lead bet. Two with PPs and 1 with K9s open raise from the button x99 flop. It happens though.

Nobody can really make any comments on your stats wtih such a small sample size. But yah, definitely post the stats again when you get more hands in.

other than hand one, you played horrendously. raising suited crap, opening with 3BB at micro stakes after complaining about getting AA,KK and QQ cracked in another thread. You've read nothing and are playing the same as before. This is a results only thread.

Yes, of course we should look at winning hands as well as losing ones. I just felt that most of these hands you got all the money in with aggressive play with monster hands, and I wasn't sure if you wanted to debate or just show off. I was obviously wrong, and I look forward to seeing the poor hands.

you should move up to 50nl at AP and sit with this guy:

He's horrible and will donate all of his chips to you. Sitting on his right is the far superior play as well as if you just check to him he will typically spew all of his chips into you. Once again that's "deeeeznuts" please sit at all of his tables.

@ $250 I'm not rolled for $50NL, I try to buyin around 100-150BB in $20NL unless there's a really bad player or two at the table deepstacked, in which case I'll buyin for the full $20.

Based on 2pair and flush draw odds I'd say between 25 and 40BB. Which seems reasonable at spew stakes. I'm an idiot though :)

Ehm $20 is 100BB, so you're probably buying in for less you mean? I'm not buying in full these days either. At 20NL I'd buy in full, but at 40NL I buy in for $30 and at 50NL now I'm buying in for $40.

Oh and it's pretty amazing how good money can be made even at these low stakes. I made $1000 in a week and a half now since I started playing again and I didn't even play all that much..
