Poker for dummied - waste of time?

Hello all.
I've just started playing Holdem, and want to improve my game. I have borrowed a book called "poker for dummies", and i'm wondering if this book is a wast of time, or if it has something to teach a rookie?

It's really basic. Really basic.

That said, it's a fast read so why not go through it, if you know it you know it and move on. Anything interesting read a bit more closely. It's not an epic book or anything it's a 2-hour read max.
