albeit, i lost some of these hands, but still there's nothing "hard" about adjusting to short stackers. i don't know why all the people over at 2p2 bitch so much about them.
almost all of these hands would be tough folds if we were deeper.

People hate short stackers because they break up the natural flow of a looser, post-flop oriented game. Also, table seem to break because of short stackers, which is reason enough to hate them.
Because people are stupid and need something to blame bad things happening to them on.
Also, some people like to play lots of hands without showdown value with several players remaining to act.

when they seem to frustrate me, its b/c they are bumping me out of marginal post flop pots.
when i seem to frustrate them, is when i'm in a situation they have no FE...and still dont realize it.
its pretty give and take.
a good shortstacker forces you to play a much taggier game and to play more marginal hands like AJ, AT that can call a push as opposed to hands which play better 100 bb+ like suited connectors and gappers- especially in early position but a strong shortstacker is shoving a huge range to a button raise.....
people who are annoyed with shortstackers need to go play some sngs.
There is a big difference between the shortstackers at 400nl+ which are a huge pain in the ass, to those at 200nl and below who shortstack because 101.23$ is left in their bankroll.
We just hate the 1st kind.
at 510 and up there are 4 or 5 good shortstackers that play perfect and make the games play tighter, which sucks for everyone except them

I actually LOOK for tables with 2 <60BB stacks at 50NL 6max. They are about 80% terrible (just flop a pair and call), 20% rocks (just fold, typically)
i like short stacks in general because they are usually awful, underrolled players (the 1s i'm used to anyway).
reason pple dislike shorties is because it affects their strategies. raising pf with 79s at a short stacked table is not a good idea. when playing with deep stacks it will be in a lot of players strategies.
playing against shorties means you are effectively short stacked when playing against them. but if you're at a table with deep players you may want to be raising your 79s pf. the fact that a shorty is playing may stop you doing this and therefore ruin your strategy and cost you money.
I play 50NL and I hate shortacks because
1) Most of them buy in for $10 so when they raise my blind I can't really defend.
2) They are all useless so I'd rather win $50 from them,
3) I can't steal as many blinds with a shortstack to my left.
4) They can make 3 and 4 betting against other players really difficult due to the whole under raise thing.
Also, has anyone ever sucessfully goaded a shortstack into buying in full? I've been trying for ages and no luck yet, lol.
Couldn't agree more. I can't stand not having odds to call a raise with SCs etc. because one or more people in the pot have like 1/3 stack, or not being able to raise other drawing hands because the blinds are short. It turns me from a 23/16 into a 20/13 or something, and that's not the direction I want to be going.Quote:

I feel like I give to much info with my bet sizes to the better players i.e. not raising PPs Pre, limping SCs, and only raising with premium hands.
