Feel like I been hearing this a lot lately when players get questioned on bad bets that suck out...
"HOW COULD YOU CALL MY ALL IN WITH 2Q?"
"because i hit the wrong button genius"
Heard it tonight for like the fourth time this week

Yeah, I've been hearing it more lately.
I really do hit the wrong button sometimes. However, I usually hit the check button instead of the bet button.
On the rare occasion that I accidentally call a big bet with crap, it's because I'm playing more tables than I can handle.
8 tables = profit
12 tables = more profit
DUH!
Ah, Sam the Eagle.... Not seen him for a while!
Going back to the topic though, I heard the phrase "Wrong button" mentioned last night on Party by a guy that reraised in a flash on a JJx board. Some one had already raised, then got re-raised by the chip leader and this got me laughing. Basically, chip leader flips over a J and takes down two other stacks, with one guy saying he hit the "raise" button instead of the call button.
Ah well, that's what you get for not making sure I guess.
This has happened to me for real enough times lately. Hitting raise instead of call is pricey when the villain has already bet $24, and pricier still when he then pushes over your raise but you are getting something like 9:1 to call even though you know you're beat.
I have also folded recently with an QQ on a raggy flop where a known lagg with position had re-raised me - he was happy to admit he had nothing (I was intending to call, check the turn then push over his inevitable 2nd barrel, so I reckon it cost me about $35).
But the daddy of them all is the "call any" button. Why does it exist? Why? What kind of appalling player considers calling a minbet and calling a push equally valid plays? That sodding button has cost me over $100 lately and I am not at all happy.
i did it last nite. 200NL im in BB and bet 28 against EP and BTN limper.
Limper thought for ages (he had $98) and called. flop AKx (ive AQ) i en shove, he folds.
i think he knew it was a misclick so why wouldnt he shove (though id have to call with almst anyhand).
How about when your playing tables on overlap and when going to click one button on one table the other opens and you click 'minraise' on that one!!
Happened to me on saturday in the cutoff with 6 limpers and i have 92o! Im folding K9 on another table when it pops up so that i minraise! Woulda been hilarious if i had gotten 6 folds!
It just happened to me again.
I was clicking to open another table, and a table that I was playing popped up and I accidently put in a good sized raise on 10-2 off suit.
I play Bodog and this crap seems to happen to me a lot because I play the tables on overlap. Of course, I never tell at the table that "I hit the wrong button" because I think that the ocassional totally random (and usually stupid) bet keeps 'em guessing.
I've accidently folded instead of calling with a misclick, however a few times I've bet 10x what I meant by rushing.
i.e., instead of 3xBB raise to 0.08, I put in a 0.8 bet PF with no limpers. Luckily noones called me when I've done that.
thats the one that gets me, too. for some reason i will bet $5 instead of $.50. i havent been called since i dont know how long...thank god. but, now i prolly just jinxed myself... :)Quote:

I had AA preflop so I didn't care i just said "oh shit, i missed a period" and someone said "lol" and he called with QJo, pushed on the flop and I called to win :)
but I have folded some decent hands before... I guess this just means we all need bigger monitors or a better way of organizing our tables
