HU Match: Big Hand

Both started with 50 and I just won his whole stack.
My stack 94 ish
His Stack, about 47ish

We haven't shown a huge amount of hands...I had been small betting/bluffing, not really playing big pots without a good hand. Villain would range from small bets (such as a buck) to even overbetting (when he had a good hand 75% of the time). I was pretty much dominating him when the big hand came up.

On the button with 6's...I wasn't being a maniac, raising with anything from suited connectors to pocket pairs to overs. Don't think he was really paying attention to this.

Preflop: I raise to 1.50 (standard raise) he calls.

Flop: 9-9-9
He checks so I lead out with a pot size bet for 3, looking like a steal with ace high, he reraises to 9 ..this is where I overthought the playing level I was doing the whole He's thinking that I'm thinking I will just bluff this pot so he is reraising to get me out. I didn't want him to see a turn card with my small pair so I reraise all in...i figured he wouldn't reraise me if he had 9 and I haven't seen him slowplaying big pairs...I reraise all in and he calls with QQ....I catch the 6 on the turn but still needed the one outer and lost...thoughts? I prolly should have just reraised and if he reraised again just folded. Eventually got it all back when my KK's held up against his 10's

I don't think you should push the flop. I think you should call his flop bet and see what happens on the turn.

it's a tough spot. it's unlikely he has pockets. if he bets 15 into 21 on the turn you have a difficult decision to make. i think you should just call the flop and see what happens on the turn. You are giving him a free card, but I think it's better to keep the pot small. also, you give him the opportunity to continue bluffing with overcards. if you push - he calls when you're behind and folds when you're ahead. he might fold 88 and 77 if you push and might fold 22-66. but in general, a call means you're behind.
