Hey guys, posts are really helpful, this is another 3.30 Poker Stars Turbo I won, I'm particularly looking for end game push/shove when it was down to 4, as I undoubtedly made some that were questionable. Well done on the win, I thought you played this OK but there are a few things:
- You need to tighten up your preflop hand selection. Don't complete the SB with hands like T4o unless you're getting HUGE (ie. 10:1 or thereabouts) odds preflop. Also, don't call raises, even minraises, in the BB with crap like T4s.
- Whenever you're in the SB or on the button and the players in the blind(s) have <10x BB then it is usually +EV to shove any two cards in the SB and a very wide range on the button. You missed quite a few shoving spots after hand 12.
- Your HU play was good. With a stack as short as opps and the blinds so big just shove every hand from the SB and most hands from the BB.
1. T4o - I wouldn't bother with this, even in the SB getting 5:1 odds. I need closer to 10:1 to even complete here.
2. K7o - completing is fine getting 11:1 on the call. Just remember you are playing for 2 pair or better here, don't go broke on a K high flop.
3. AJo - raise it for sure. It's folded to you in the CO, make it 90-120 to go. As played, there's no need to overbet the pot. There is 90 in the pot, bet pot, you can stand some action here and a PSB denies them odds to chase the flush.
4. KQo - I just tend to dump KQo here, you're 2 spots off the button, just let it go. Whilst I don't think that limping is a terrible leak here, I think it's marginally -EV in the long run. If you were one spot further along I would like limping a bit more.
5. T4s - fold this crap preflop, even from the BB to a minraise. It's just not worth it, particularly since it's a crap hand and you are OOP.
[8h Td] SB (M=18.00; f+f+f+f+f+f+F) - provided the BB is not a super loose calling station then raise this, 150 to go.
6. KK - good. Don't be tempted to slowplay here. From what I've seen the limper is a donkey, he may well call your push.
7. K9o - I think the river shove is OK, just hope he doesn't have a PP 55 or higher! I wouldn't bet the flop or the turn either.
8. 44 - good you got away with it, but fold this from UTG, it is not a +EV push (although it is not terribly -EV either).
9. 98o - OK.
10. A9o - good, you have the limper covered.
11. K7o - whether this is a good or bad push depends on reads on the blinds. If they are playing tight, then shove is good, if they are loose then shove is bad. Note that at 100/200 blinds without antes you pretty much always have to fold this.
12. KQo - good.
[6s 2d] SB (M=5.79; f+f+F) - shove this, you have the BB well covered and can take the hit if he calls and you don't suck out.
13. J9o - good.
14. 33 - just shove it. With the short stack sitting out he won't call you wide, but if he shoves over unfortunately you're pretty much priced in to call.
15. KQs - again, just shove it (although with your bet you're pretty much doing that).
[Ts 9h] BU (M=8.32; f+F) - I'd shove it again, you have the blinds covered.
16. ATo - good.
[8c Jc] BU (M=5.30; f+F) - shove it.
[Td 8c] SB (M=4.61; f+f+F) - shove it for sure provided that the BB is still short stacked.
[6h 7h] BU (M=4.30; f+F) - shove provided you still have the blinds covered
[Qs 9c] BU (M=4.30; f+F) - ditto
17-18. Both good.
19. A3o - either folding or shoving are fine here, I have a slight preference to folding, you're at best a 60/40 favourite if he calls and are very likely a 30/70 or 20/80 underdog.
[4s 2c] SB (M=2.63; f+F) - shove it
20-21. Both good.
22. KK - I'd just shove it. You've been shoving a lot recently; a benefit of this is that when you pick up a monster hand and shove they may not give you credit. Given how short they are they will call with a LOT of hands.
23-32. All good.
