WTF?? I now think it's a terrible fold give my read. I should of either check/called or bet/called this. I think he put me on a big pair and decided the deuce is a perfect card to bluff at. Or did he have a 9 (or 2)..??
edit: Whats wrong with this converter?
-
k, convertor doesn't work for Full Tilt.
This is pretty tough river decision. Against the described villain I like check/calling though (hope this isn't results oriented, next time don't post what you did). You only lose to a 9, and on such a sick drawy board you have the best hand like uh...80% of the time or something, betting lets him fold those draws while checking lets him bluff it. Bet small to induce push is sexy though, you just forgot the call part. So I think just not folding would be good. But check/call rive rmakes this hand lots easier for you.
-
and if he has q9 just curse at yoru screen and don't play poker for like 2 weeks
-
i play this the same. I don't like c/c the river because he checks back tons of value.
-
I play this the same except I call a shove and prooofffiiittt.
-
It's close to impossible to put villain on a had that is beating you on the turn but doesn't raise that street.
If you bet the river I think it's -ev to be folding here. Sometimes villain has a better boat (Q9 obv most likely monster here) but oh well... GG.
-
c/c seems bad because that means you're not value-betting this river unless you have QQ or a nine, you have a full house and it's a freaking blind battle.
-
I think its kinda close between c/c and bet/call. One thing that's clear to me is that bet/fold is pretty much the worst line possible against a hyperaggro villain. Thx for the replies.
-
This seems like a perfect oppurtunity for opp to make a bluff.
-
Yea, pretty sick bluff, but I agree.
-
The reason I don't think C/C is terrible is simply because villain shows up so often here with missed draws.
We're losing some value from any Q I suppose, but even then, a thinking villain is usually capable of laying down Qx on this board when he's only beating a bluff.
