Making a really thin call

Opp is 24/18 reg who isnt overly thinky, make sure to read first line of chat for reads.

BTW I bet-check-bet a lot with good hands in re-raised pots because people look you up really light on the river.

I fold flop... I've played a decent amount wit cougario and hes good enough u have to fold flop. I really, really, really, really hate this call on the flop.

As played river is tough vs this villain. Lets assume a river shove discounts AJ, KK QQ TT, probably AQ.

That leaves his range in my mind as AK AA, and 66, 55, 56, JJ for value. Your problem is comparing this range to the times he decides to bluff with 22-99, KQ, maybe KJ, or pure air which hes 3betting as a semibluff. All in all I don't think you win here a third of the time and I would muck em say unnnnhhh.

Note: Flop call is beyond horrible.

Don't float for the sake of floating, especially OOP. Don't try to make a really thin call with a really good read. Realize that a runnered flush, AA, JJ, 66 or even AK may play this the same way. Also, if he doesn't have an A he has a PP that's beating you most likely.

It wasn't a float because i never planned on bluffing, it was just bad lolz. I think psychologically seeing the 77 thing it must have really beaten my mind to "you have him beat, he has 77." I know it sounds stupid but ive been pretty dumb recently.

Riv is really close IMO

Ok, 3betting with 77 in position is a good play imo. I don't understand why this rocked ur mindset.

This is pretty standard in most 1/2 and 2/4 games I've played in specially the tough ones. Sauce.

Is this only against LP raisers? I surely hope its not a standard 3bet against an UTG raise even if he is on the wildish side.

I think it's a reference to the fact that you can sometimes make up for a big mistake at one point in a hand (typically early, when things tend to be more straightforward) with a very astute decision in a marginal situation later on in a hand.
