Lay it and hope to snatch 2nd place.

Agree. Too many ways you can be beaten and I'd be rooting for the leader to take out the shorty.
I don't like Jacks any more... they cost me second place this lunchtime.
What's the pay-out structure? In a SNG I call. In a MTT I might call and might fold depending on the payout structure.
Shorty could have basically anything, and the chipleader would iso-push with a wide range. So I think your JJ is likely the best hand, and I'd venture to say 50% equity against those two opponents (and ~70% equity against the chipleader's hand even if you lose to shorty's hand).
Even if you fold, shorty might win so you're not guaranteed second, and if you fold and shorty loses, going up against a chipleader with a 3-to-1 lead against you is no walk in the park.
This might be your best chance to accumulate chips. I only fold here if the payout structure is very top-heavy (only if the difference between 2nd and 3rd is a lot, which is never the case in a SNG, sometimes the case in a MTT).
Thanks to those that replied and sorry about the mis-post.
I did call the two pushes for the reasons stated above.
.... shorty was any decent 2
.... Big stack with a move to fold me and pick up shortys money.
Suprisingly .... Button had A,K
SB had K,K
Board.........9,2,9,9,8
ended up in second but it was closer than I thought.
call, this isn't close.
If you and shorty bust out on same hand you will get 2nd...
