Learning Limit
Is picking up Limit Hold'em a bad idea since I am only at 20NL right now? Will attempting to learn both at the same time just cause problems? I ask because the only local poker room is almost exclusively limit (even the tournaments, although the odd NL game does happen) and I wouldn't mind playing at a live poker room at some point.

I don't see any problem in learning different games. Alot of the theory is cross-applicable. There are some concepts that are totally individual to each game and you will notice those as you begin learning about limit. I only play limit live too because the lowest spread of NL is a 1/2 game.

Id try and focus on 1 at a time if i were you since alot of the principles of limit and no limit are in direct conflict. e.g. in limit you generally dont fold fairly decent hands in all but the smallest pots whereas in NL you are usually looking for reasons to fold.
The other problem with limit is that online limit is pretty much dead these days. I hear its still fairly beatable live but you might not get very far trying to learn it online.

Live Limit games are a turkey shoot.
Play great hands, build pots and don't fold good hands post-flop.
One aspect of Limit that really helped my NLHE game is that seeing an absurd holding get pushed a big pot doesn't bother me much because it happens so often in Limit.
