Spew Take 2
Don't have HH. Have only played a few hands vs villain. He seems to be reaising light preflop. Not much of a read post-flop :
Hero : 445$
SB : Random dood : x$
BB : Villain 414$
Hero hole cards : Ad6s
Hero raises to 14$
SB folds
BB calls
Flop : pot is 30$
5d-7h-7s
Villain checks
Hero bets 25$
Villain calls 25$
Turn : pot is 80$
5d-7h-7s-6d
Villain checks
Hero bets 70$
Villain raises to 210$
Hero calls
River : pot is 490$
5d-7h-7s-6d-2c
Villain is all in (170$)
Hero calls

I commend you for actually posting that hand.
-
is villain's line ever a bluff? if no, what hands usually take this line (assuming he's not a donk)?
-
idk the river defintely isn't, the turn possibly, but unlikely because you are firing a second barrel.
-
i think a bluff is possible but nowhere near likely enough to call down here
-
weird hand
I was villain btw and assumed after this hand that "Hero" (guy who called me down... I had A8) was a donk. I reloaded with glee. But he wasn't bad at all.
Just wanted to see if my line lacked credibility... guess he just made a lucky call.
-
you should probably go ahead and shut down the bluff after his turn call +2c on river. He definitely falls in love with that card if he has any suspicion you were bluffing the turn. I definitely think he should have folded the turn though.
-
so whats the result?? i take it he had 44 or Ad2d
-
I was villain
I had A8 and got stacked
-
I was pushing river no matter what came (prob bad)
This was a big move without a great read but 3 handed I don't need a big hand to make a big move
A hand like 6-7 can possibly call turn and fold river. unlikely though.
When I make this play on turn, it's important for meta-game that ppl know their stack is going in on the river regardless of the card. Since game is 3 handed, pushing river knowing I'll get called can help me win a ton of huge pots later on (prob good)...

i'd have trouble folding 76 on this board no matter how tight i thought you were
