Strong river reraise....what do i do??????

OK, this hand was played on absolute poker and the hand convertor does not support NL ring games so I will try to make it as presentable as possible. Any feedback is very much appreciated.

call, I doubt he played KK this way, and if he has 45, so be it

I bet he's got J-K.

Regardless, I call in a heartbeat.

I would find this had very difficult to put down. I don't think that 45 is impossible, as he was limping. Might of felt with you being the big blind, that you were trying to steal the pot . Agree that kk is unlikely, but again. If he raised from early position might of thought that they were going to get no action. If they did have the nuts, they may have left of bit of money behind for you to come over the top of them.

So I would be calling.

K J or paired K with a missed flush draw. Call. I think 45 is out of the question calling that large Preflop raise with one to act behind. He's got you on an overpair. and thinks his hand is good.

I want to thank you guys for the input. I did make the call and my opponent turned over KK. So I wound up losing the pot.

Now for a follow up question do you guys think that I could have played the hand differently. Even if I would have still wound up losing on the river what are your takes on my bets? Should I have pushed all in at a certain moment? Again any feed back is greatly appreciated.

easy call. can't fold a set in this situation...you did the right thing.

Your supposed to lose a stack at these stakes with set under set. Set's cannot be laid down without really knowing opponents at $25 or $50NL because they will stack of with TP against your set much more often than you will lose to another set. Reload, type NH and get ready. If he calls those bets without ever raising overpairs like that again he'll give it back.

i would've pushed the river... he could have just as easily had two pair or an under-set.

It sucks that he had KK, you got two outed. The thing you have to learn is to put your opponents on a range of hands. Most of the time you cannot put someone on a single hand, or even 3 different possible hands. So you have to think to yourself, "if i were in his shoes, and i were him (eg loose aggressive, tight aggressive, loose passive, etc.) what hands would i do this with?"

In this specific situation, he raises you $24 on the river. Against an unknown, i'd put him on 45, 66, 33, JJ, K7, K6, K3, KJ, well a lot of hands. basically a lot of two pair hands, some undersets, a straight, an overset, and also possibly a missed flush draw bluff (never rule out bluffing). I actually wouldn't put him on KK because he didn't reraise preflop.

So really, if you look at this play objectively, without results, you should go all in.
