Gimmick accounts.

Xianti, I know that you are trying to keep FTR civil and on track, but would it not be better to just leave the original posters accounts open and just start editing and deleting any innappropriate postings or links. Maybe just assign a few more mods that are on at different times of day to police the forums. I think the gimmick accounts are far more distracting than any poster would ever be. We can avoid the problem people by scrolling over them and avoiding them instead of in the case of ripjohn, getting all involved. I think just deleting more and editing some we can have a cleaner and less cluttered forum. Also would it not help to have a far more rigorous and time consuming sign up process or is it to difficult to change or cause new members to not bother? I think FTR would be better served without the gimmick accounts anbd have problem children instead.

And for what it's worth I never minded the problem children sometimes people get upset, but we move on.
