Flopped set with a draw heavy board

Only played a couple of hands, so no read on villain, but how did I do?

This is almost a must-do move with such a draw heavy board. A little thing though: Lead the flop bigger, a smaller bet like yours doesnt have any advantage in this peticuliar situation.

Thanks for the replies guys. Villain had KQo and MHWNG. :cry:

Now obviously I'm being results oriented, but like dsaxton says, I'm behind to much of their calling range in this situation. So I was wondering whether playing the hand less aggressively might be better, to encourage action from one-pair or bottom two pair type hands. At the moment it seems like an expensive way to protect my hand from draws., but maybe I'm looking at this wrong.

bdawg56kg you mentioned mixing it up - did you mean sometimes not going all-in in this situation, or did you mean going all-in with some other types of hands? Coudl you expand a bit on this? If its the latter what other types of hand would you push with?

I don't think you necessarily need to shove to get rid of draws, if that's what you're trying to do. A bet of 125-150 would do.. anyone that calls here has you beat, or has a decent combo draw (like AKh), so I'd try to leave myself with as much as possible.

nh, but i would usually lead more on flop so that way your reraise allin wont be such an overbet

Basically I meant to sometimes c/r with a set/2-pr here, sometimes b3b. Sometimes c/r with a draw, sometimes b3b with a draw. And of course lead or c/r with air on occasion. Just try to mix it up so that you're not predictable (ie if you only b3b with sets, then when you try to c/r, either with air or on a draw, observant opponents will push, knowing you probably can't call).
