QQ flop push?

only 4 hands on villain. no reads.

im getting almost 2:1 on my money. i put him on the obvious 99+, but i really dont think 99/TT are re-raising pf.

Once I call preflop I call on the flop. You didn't have any kind of odds to spike a set and with just a psb left he's pushing AK/AQ/any pair here.

i also dont think hes pushing any pair here. i dont think the typ. party $25nl player considers the pot size in relation to how much $$ is behind.

if the flop was suited then maybe you could include AK in his range, but i don't expect him to flip AK here unless he is truly terrible.

It's weak, but toss. If he sucks, you'll realize it pretty damn quickly, and make your money back and then some.

i fold.. this is an AA/KK line ...i might even consider folding preflop because im not getting good enough implied odds to spike a set ...

i dunno, this could very easily be AK. you have only 4 hands with this fellow. he doesnt want a call... id probably just call. fold isnt bad though

dont forget he is ~ 1/2 stacked as well.. full stack is better reason to fold but 1/2 stackers like to get all in with any overpair and sometimes AK unimproved on the flop

just because he called w/o odds for a set doesn't automatically mean calling the flop is +EV.

just because he called w/o odds for a set doesn't automatically mean calling the flop is +EV.

then the preflop call is -ev which is where the fold should be. i realize that he has to play this now that he called pf and I already gave my opinion that he should call because I think it's +ev at the $25. just what i think.

i still dont think AK is pushing this flop. i can beleive AK and maybe even AQ preflop. Im making my standard 4xBB raise from the CO in a 7 handed game, so from villains pov, i could be raising any 2 decent cards for a steal. but i would be willing to bet that 99% of the time that villaing isnt putting the rest of his stack out with only AK/AQ

i thought about getting it all in pf, but decided just to flat call and re-evaluate the flop. very safe flop for me, as i know he isnt making the pf reraise with an 8 in his hand, but his push is just screaming QQ+, maybe JJ, and i highly doubt he has the other QQ although i have folded one of these before only to have him show me the same pair i had.

Fold pre-flop. Most people don't fuck around from the Small Blind in spots like this.

he put in $1 from MP, i reraised to $3 from the CO or button, he calls and pushed the flop.

if you weren't playing for set value then there should not be a question as to whether to call or fold. what range do you put him on PF? if you think QQ is good as an overpair then you obviously call the flop. if you think you're up against AA/KK a bunch then fold PF.
