anyways, ive been playing no limit tournament style and wanted to switch up to ring games. i plan on going to a casino in the near future so i would like some tips on ring games. any help would be appreciated

Sorry man but you have pretty much asked an unanswerable question there. Your question is like - "Please teach me to play poker in only one post". It can't be done.
What you should do is start off small by playing 2NL tables on stars or as high as you're bankroll will allow, up to and including 25NL. Start learning and posting hands and questions and soon you should start to see improvements.
It's highly important that you read all the sticky posts in the Beginners Circle forum. These will further yor game alot and are a great starting point.
Also please refrain from posting the same question in multiple forums. And welcome to FTR.
i would suggest learning full 10 seat ring first before trying shorthanded games.

The first obvious difference in strat going from tourney to ring is that you can play much looser, and gamble more, right from the moment you sit down. 'Cause if you hit bad, you can buy more chips. that much is pretty obvious, though.
